I think it is time I wrote a testimony concerning the healing and protective efficacy of Christian Science, since I have had the great joy of demonstrating it for many years.

When I was only eight I underwent a serious operation on one of my feet for septic poisoning. About that time a friend told my parents about Christian Science. With the loving help of a Christian Science practitioner I gradually learned to walk again, although for many months it was necessary for me to travel about in a Bath chair. Thanks to divine Love, conditions which the physicians had said were inevitable were absolutely destroyed through the understanding that nothing can interrupt the harmony of being or be added to or taken from Life's complete, spiritual idea.

Four years later the same practitioner was called upon to give absent treatment when I was involved in an accident while traveling on holiday alone. I sustained a fracture at the base of the skull, concussion of the brain, loss of memory, a "'twisted" right eye, paralysis of the right limbs, and hemorrhages from the eyes, ears, and nose. For seven days I lay unconscious in a relative's home, near the place of the accident.
