Safe Dwelling
Where
is your faith in Spirit's power
To guide, to guard, to save
From pestilence that walks at night;
From weather, wind, and wave?
Where is your faith, and where your strength?
This challenge self-addressed
Brings comfort and assurance as
I lay me down to rest.
For I know once the seas rode high,
The wind shrieked through the shrouds,
And Jesus on a pillow slept;
He saw no threatening clouds.
He knew God sent no storm, nor feared
Confounded human will.
How is it that you have no faith?
"Peace, be still."
