Seeking First the Kingdom
The Rev. C. R. McBride
Free Press, Burlington, Wisconsin
The Master spoke so simply when he was upon earth that today we in reading his words are in danger of overlooking their importance. Take for instance this statement, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Have we understood this? Do we know that this is the divine order for happiness?...
Jesus put the emphasis where it belonged—doing God's will. That is, being in harmony with God. If we earnestly seek His will, then the security and the freedoms which slip so easily out of our fingers today will be ours in full measure. 'Seek ye first—."
