God Waits

God waits. There is no consciousness of time
In the eternal Life—no sense of haste,
No anxious fear that good may be delayed.
He knows that now His plan is being fulfilled,
For Love will not allow the feeblest cry
From the most wayward one to go unheard,
Without an answering call; so, tenderly,
Throughout eternity, the Father waits.
