Signs of the Times
"We need to pray always"
Journal-Herald
Dayton, Ohio
We need to pray. We need to pray the Lord's Prayer, realizing all the while that the bread which we seek is spiritual sustenance. We need to pray and know the while that His kingdom is established in the humble, loving heart. We need to pray and at the same time be conscious that His will is a will which works not toward sorrow and grief but toward the coming of the reign of good. ...
We need to pray always. And were there enough of us praying and acclaiming as we should, the forces of aggression would fall immediately and all the wickedness which works for materiality would be cast down from its throne. Impersonal prayer is power. It is living as one with God, and it is looking toward the establishment of "the kingdom, and the power, and the glory."
