I feel that I must express my gratitude to God for all the blessings which have come to me through Christian Science.

At the time I began studying Christian Science I was wearing glasses for acute astigmatism. I had worn them for many years and had been told that I should have to wear them the rest of my life. Wearing glasses had become such a habit that I did not realize this was a condition which would have to be healed until I experienced a great sense of irritation in my eyes. I visited an optician who tested my eyes and told me the glasses I was wearing were double the strength necessary. I then felt a deep sense of gratitude, for I realized that as I had been gaining a right understanding of God, the healing truth had been operating without my recognizing it. I commenced to do some specific work about the condition. Although the healing was slow, it was complete. I saw the report of a recent test of my eyes and the reply to the question relating to astigmatism was "None."

This experience has helped me on many occasions to have more confidence in God and to know that the truth is always active, even though the healing may not be apparent to material sense.
