Many blessings have come into my experience through Christian Science. Its efficacy was first demonstrated to me at the time of the birth of our son by the loving work of my wife and a practitioner. Subsequent unfoldment of a clearer sense of home and a splendid meeting of our need through earnest Science work encouraged my first steps. I am unceasingly grateful for the opportunities for growth in spiritual understanding that are afforded us in the clear perception of God's plan for His children.

Some years ago, an edged tool I was using slipped and severed a portion of my left thumb. Work was immediately taken up in Christian Science, and with the assistance of a practitioner I was able to see for the first time something of the true man. My fears that nerves, blood vessels, and other parts of a material body might be rendered useless and deformed were shown to be completely out of accord with the scientific apprehension of true being. After some weeks had elapsed, the truth was so clearly grasped that the thumb was completely healed, without leaving any deformity.

Only recently a similar accident resulted in a deep gash in another finger. The earlier light and the clearer apprehension developed by further study was sufficient to bring about healing in a very few days and with no loss of use of the finger.
