Ever since I was a child of eight, Christian Science has been my only help, so it is with great gratitude for the many blessings and healings that have been mine through the years that I submit this testimony. There has never been a problem in my experience that has not yielded to the healing, beneficent ministry of Science when this truth has been properly applied.

One day when in our laundry I noticed water leaking from the washing machine. In an attempt to find its cause, I turned off the motor, but failed to disconnect the plug before putting my hand in a small opening. I contacted a live electric wire and was unable to remove my hand, as it was held fast by the electricity. Immediately I declared audibly several times that God is my Life. Although the machine was still connected, since I was unable to reach the plug, I felt the surge of electricity cease. I was able to remove my hand, but discovered a deep gash on my wrist. Still declaring God's allness and nearness, I returned to the house and called a practitioner.

Although the healing of the wrist took a while to accomplish, it was done solely through Christian Science, without recourse to material aid.
