Unfoldment Through Consecration

Daily study of the Bible and the inspired writings of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, furthers the growth and progress of every student of Christian Science. It enables him to meet each day's challenge with such newness and freshness of thought that healing becomes more and more spontaneous, it challenges false arguments before they find lodgment in his thinking, and teaches him to weigh these arguments in the balance with truth, and to refuse to accept intrusive material beliefs which weigh against good. Thus his whole outlook is clarified and daily tasks are lightened.

When difficulties arise, the student of Christian Science is confident that all power is on God's side; that a false belief is always false, entirely unknown to God, no part of spiritual reality, and therefore does not exist where man is. This understanding enables him to face false arguments unafraid. It rids them of any pretense to power, of ability to think, act, plan defeat, or destroy, because God is the only Mind, and His activity is the only law.

As he understandingly applies to human problems the teachings of Christian Science concerning God and man the student is giving a Christian Science treatment. It blesses all who may be reaching out in prayer for guidance and aid. This treatment is based on the presence and power of divine Love. It glorifies God and praises Him for being God, for being All-in-all, and lifts thought into the radiance of spiritual reality and freedom. It is endowed with power, grace, and beauty On page 10 of "Christian Science versus Pantheism." Mrs. Eddy writes of the healing effected through Christian Science in these words: "All this is accomplished by the grace of God,—the effect of God understood."
