It is with much gratitude to...
It is with much gratitude to God that I testify to the healing and protecting power of the truth as revealed in Christian Science.
I wish to tell something of my experience in World War I. Before going overseas, I asked for Christian Science help. With sincere gratitude I can testify that not only was I protected, but also my entire company of about two hundred men. Not a single casualty occurred, even though we were fifty-five days at the front.
While in training in the United Stales, a number of us who were interested in Science got together on Sundays and had Christian Science services. In my company there were three of us who were students. While in training in France we were together quite frequently in the early evening. We often went a short distance to the woods, had our lunch, and then studied the Lesson-Sermon and our literature.
