It has long been my desire to express, through the periodicals, my sincere gratitude to God for Christian Science and the wonderful change it has brought about in my life. Mere words are inadequate to express what I feel. I can only show my appreciation by striving to reflect more of the Christ, Truth.

I did not take up the study of Science for physical healing, but was attracted to it by a loved one's healing of tuberculosis, heart trouble, and other discordant conditions. Several years passed before I applied its teachings myself. Then I began to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures"' by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as some of the other authorized publications. I was in desperate need of help, and longed for a better understanding of God, since the church to which I had been devoted all my life failed to give me a satisfactory religion.

Suffering from fear, lack, discouragement, and many other troubles, I was extremely unhappy. However, I began to apply the teachings of Christian Science, and soon saw that it is a demonstrable religion.
