"Thank You, dear God, for all...

"Thank You, dear God, for all my blessings." I want to repeat that over and over again. It is difficult for Christian Scientists to restrain their enthusiasm when they are convinced that they have found the truth which makes free. I am grateful that through the Wednesday testimony meetings and the Journal and Sentinel, Mrs. Eddy has provided the channels by which we may express our gratitude in an orderly fashion.

Several years ago I fell on the steps of a motor bus, and dislocated a hipbone. The discoloration disappeared in a very few days, for I had immediately declared that since there are no accidents in divine Mind there could be none in my experience. However, my work was not complete, for several years afterwards it was found that blood clots had formed, and in one instance thrombosis was evidenced. When I finally retired from business duties and turned to God unreservedly, my ability to walk properly and to travel was regained.

In 1943 I traveled more than I had ever done. It was my privilege to overcome disappointment and discomfort on a trip across the continent. There were six persons in the automobile and it was necessary for me to sit in the front seat between the driver and another person. We traveled three thousand miles in eight days and every one of us expressed gratitude for the peace and joy experienced on the trip.
