I have waited some ten years...

I have waited some ten years before submitting a testimony, more to test myself than Christian Science. I at once recognized it as the truth, but whether or not I was ready for it I did not know. The more I study Christian Science and endeavor to practice it, the more I am convinced it is what I ask of religion. It explains the relation of man to God, makes for more joyous living, and is "a very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1) of every kind.

I have had many healings. Severe burns were healed instantly without leaving scars. Chronic lumbago lessened and finally vanished. Through reading Science and Health I was healed of cigarette smoking, in which I had indulged heavily. I had tried many times to give up smoking, as doctors had warned me it was affecting my heart, but I always went back to it again. If anyone had told me before I studied Christian Science that this healing could take place I should not have believed him.

Among the many healings I have witnessed was the instantaneous healing of sinus trouble, with the help of a practitioner. A displaced bone was put back into position through the operation of God's law alone, business troubles have been met, characters changed for the better, and situations improved.
