With a heart filled with gratitude to God for all the good that has come to me through the study and application of Christian Science, I give this testimony.

I became interested in this Science about twenty-seven years ago. At that time a relative was struggling with a so-called incurable disease, and as a last resort the family turned to Christian Science. It often fell to my lot to read to him from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and I soon found I was reading for myself. From girlhood I had always loved the Bible and the church, but somehow I was never quite sure who or what God was. Science and Health revealed Him to me as nothing had ever done before.

After this experience I wanted a copy of this textbook and was told where I could obtain one. Because our family was having a trying experience with lack, I carefully saved and saved until I was able to purchase a five-dollar copy. When I related my story to a Reading Room attendant, she gave me a Quarterly and showed me how to study the Lesson Sermon. I have always been grateful for Reading Room attendants; the good they do cannot be measured.
