I have rejoiced in proofs of God's love for many years, it is with a heart full of gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her great gift of Christian Science to mankind, that I give this testimony. Although I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, when it was presented to me I knew it was the truth that makes men free. By faith I had known all things were possible to God, and now I knew I had something with which to prove this. Since that time I have had many opportunities to prove the efficacy of Christian Science in solving daily problems. It has been my guide and physician ever since.

Our revered Leader says in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 378), "Unwittingly you sentence yourself to suffer." As I was busy working on references one morning I noticed a magnifying glass on the desk. I picked it up and used it for several days. One day having many references to look up. I reached for the glass, but it was gone. Upon starting to study I found the large letters were very small and the small ones I could not even see. Needless to say, I spent the day magnifying God for all His goodness and sang hymns of rejoicing. By evening the reference work was finished and a valued lesson learned. This took place a number of years ago, and the healing of sight has been permanent.

I am grateful for the loving practitioners and friends who have shared their good with me, pressed down and running over; also for the inspiration, healings, and joys that have come to me and mine through the study of the Lesson Sermons in Christian Science Quarterly and of the authorized literature. Many times it has meant sacrifice to subscribe to the periodicals, but the blessings have always exceeded the sacrifices.
