Our Peace Pact

A Contributor to Christian ideals writes: "A new world order, to be worthy of the name, is something born, not made. It is something that lives and breathes, something that needs to be developed in the minds and hearts of men."

The demands of a new world are upon us. Statesmen and journalists, military, political, and religious leaders, are definitely seeking a way through the present mental and physical upheaval. This would indicate that St. John's prophecy in Revelation is pushing towards fulfillment. He declares, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever."

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 269), "Metaphysics resolves things into thoughts, and exchanges the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul." Christian Science for nearly three quarters of a century has been exchanging "the objects of sense for the ideas of Soul." How well it has succeeded is shown by today's demand for a more spiritual way of conducting the affairs of men.
