We read in the Bible, "Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." In humble obedience to this behest I give the following testimony.

In the year 1921. shortly after receiving my degrees in music, I became quite ill and underwent an operation for an abscess in the stomach. A friend who visited me told me of a healing she had witnessed as a result of Christian Science treatment, and said she was sure I too could be helped. Several days passed, the condition grew much worse, and I overheard the doctor remark that there was no hope of my recovery. It was then I recalled the words of my friend and sent her a message asking for help in Christian Science. Later that day, through the loving prayer of a practitioner, all sense of weakness distress, and hopelessness disappeared. I became so conscious of the presence of spiritual strength, life joy and dominion that I was able to return home in a few days and in a short time I resumed my work and was healed.

I then began to study the weekly Lesson-Sermons, left the choir of the church I was attending, and began to attend Christian Science services.
