"Seek ye first the kingdom of God"

Class instruction in Christian Science was instituted by Mary Baker Eddy to give students of this Science the opportunity of expanding and developing their comprehension and perception of God and His idea, man and the universe; in short, that they may learn "the great miracle" and "the grand necessity of existence." Of these Mrs. Eddy writes on page 560 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," "The great miracle, to human sense, is divine Love, and the grand necessity of existence is to gain the true idea of what constitutes the kingdom of heaven in man."

Loyal students of Christian Science who rely entirely upon spiritual means for healing are ready for further progress Spiritward, and class teaching is one of the means by which this is advanced.

The student who is considering this step should allow no aggressive suggestion, either mental or audible, to influence him against it . As to his choice of a teacher he will, of course, see to it that he is guided by divine Principle to one who is a recognized teacher of Christian Science, and again, allow no interference.
