The Living Christ
Your
heart was heavy, Mary,
When they placed him in the tomb;
Your mother-heart was leaden
In the darkness and the gloom.
But how quickly you responded
When you saw the morning light;
The sepulcher was empty,
The earth was shining bright!
May we, our hearts uplifted,
With radiance make tryst,
And be the Father's temple—
Express the living Christ!
