I wish to express my deep gratitude for Christian Science and for all it has done and is doing, not only for me and mine, but for the whole world.

I have had and also have witnessed many wonderful proofs of the healing power of divine Truth, and I am grateful for the opportunity of serving at present in the Canadian Army (Overseas), and thus being able to oppose those forces of evil threatening the world today. Christian Science is my daily protection, and I derive great comfort and companionship from my books, the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. Studying the Lesson-Sermon daily provides one with divine protection and gives one a refreshing mental uplift. I thank God daily for protection, for good health, and for the overcoming of a sense of loneliness and separation from those dear to me, and each day I strive to be made humble and more spiritual in thought.

For having attended the Christian Science Sunday School and later being privileged to teach in it, for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for an understanding of Christian Science, I am indeed grateful to God and to Mrs. Eddy.—(Lieutenant) Ian Stewart Brand, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
