For more than twenty-seven...
For more than twenty-seven years I have loved Christian Science, adhered to its teachings, and been healed by its power of most of the ills to which mortal man is heir, but it was just recently that I demonstrated that business can be made a joyous and harmonious activity.
Only when human outlining was entirely laid aside, and fear was silenced, could I hear the command, "This is the way, walk ye in it." Then I received sufficient strength and courage to assume the responsibility of a business of my own. During the past year this business has met all the family's needs. A member of my family, who had long suffered from a heart condition and was sentenced by materia medica to invalidism and retirement from business, has been able to be useful again.
The coming into my possession of this business office was the result of several years' earnest, faithful service, which many a time had received but scant financial remuneration; however, I knew in my heart that it was appreciated. Also, I loved my work, and held to the realization that God "is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him" and trust Him.
