Complete Perfectibility

Healing is always brought about in Christian Science through the dawning in consciousness of that specific and perfect truth about God and His spiritual creation which reverses and dissipates into native nothingness mortal mind's lie of imperfection, claiming at that instant to constitute a human problem. When thought is purified and made ready, these angel messages never fail to come.

Explicit proof of this was brought to a student of Christian Science through a healing which proved far-reaching in its helpfulness. The student asked aid of a practitioner in the solving of a problem pertaining to her husband's work as superintendent of a large defense industry. His foundry as well as others was failing to make satisfactorily an intricate and essential part used on ships serving our country in the present war emergency. So clearly did the practitioner bring to the student the realization of the intelligence, the power, the beauty, the complete perfection of man made in the image and likeness of God that on reaching home these potent words from the forty-second chapter of Job poured into her waiting thought: "I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee."

How surely did this marvelous statement of truth shatter the belief of limitation, for as the husband studied his Lesson that evening there unfolded to him the very thought, idea, necessary for the correct solution of the problem. Thus the construction work could proceed, and the ships equipped with this mechanism have played a telling part in the war effort.
