This is a tithe of gratitude to...
This is a tithe of gratitude to God which is long past due, for I have known of Christian Science for many years.
I first heard of this Science when I was attending school in a distant city. A neighbor was healed of tuberculosis in a very short time through the study of Christian Science, after her attending physician had given her but a short time to live.
My first experience of healing came when my husband was healed instantaneously of a serious stomach disorder through my reading from the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. He had been dieting for months, but was steadily growing worse. This particular morning when he arose he fell on the floor. I helped him onto the bed and asked him if I should read to him from the textbook. He owned a copy of it, but we had never read it. He replied that he was willing that I should read. After I had read aloud for a few minutes he fell asleep. Awakening a short time later, he arose, healed. Naturally the healing made a great impression on us.
