Port Elizabeth, South Africa (First Church).
First Church of Christ, Scientist, Port Elizabeth, was dedicated on Sunday, May 14, 1944. Both morning and evening services were held, at which a brief history reviewing the progress of Christian Science in this field was read by the First Reader.
Christian Science services were first held in Port Elizabeth in 1908 by a small group in a private home. As the attendance increased the Loubser Hall was hired.
