My heart speaks in gratitude to...
My heart speaks in gratitude to God for Christian Science, which has brought me health, peace, harmony, and bountiful supply.
I thought Christian Science ridiculous when I first heard it said, "There is no life in matter." But, weary of materia medica, I turned to it and was healed in one treatment of incipient tuberculosis. The X rays had shown my lungs to be infected, but after my healing they were proved to be in perfect condition; every manifestation of the disease had disappeared. At this time I was also healed of acute tonsillitis. This occurred many years ago, and these healings have been permanent.
One week during the time of the depression, I was studying the Lesson-Sermon on "Man." A realization of the true man, the man of God's creating, came to me vividly, but soon afterward came the suggestion that men with whom we were associated in business were dishonest. I tried to discount this suggestion, but it persisted. Turning to the true concept of man, I read the Lesson over and over again until I could put down my books with the conviction that there was only one man—the man of God's creating.
