My parents became interested in Christian Science when I was just a girl. My grandfather had been instantaneously healed of a serious stomach trouble, and this experience caused us to have great faith in the curative power of Truth, as taught in Christian Science.

In 1886, we secured a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began to study it, and through reading the Bible and this book we were able to overcome every case of sickness and solve the problems which come into the experience of a growing family. Since the above date, Christian Science has been our only help, although for a number of years no practitioners were available in the western part of Nebraska where we lived.

As for my individual experience, I have been wonderfully protected, and the few illnesses I have had were quickly healed either by my own efforts or by the work of loving practitioners.
