Excerpts from Letters Concerning Christian Science Wartime Activities

[From a group of fourteen in a prison camp]

After service today it was unanimously agreed that we convey our very deep appreciation of the magnificent work being done for us by The Mother Church, the War Relief Committees in Boston and London, and Christian Scientists in Switzerland and Portugal. With individual growth, and the Manual as our constant guide, our work progresses, showing increased interest and attendance at services. We plan reading another authorized lecture, last year's having borne good fruit. Much interesting comment comes also from men receiving War Relief Committee parcels. An interesting record of our experiences and progress is being kept for your files. Three of the group only are members of The Mother Church, but others await application when practicable.
