Christian Science is arousing...

Lt.-Col. Robert E. Key, District Manager for Committees on Publication in Great Britain and Ireland Church of England Newspaper, London

Christian Science is arousing considerable interest in these days on account of its rapid growth and the outstanding success of its healing ministry. In consequence of this it comes in for a good deal of misrepresentation, and a recent article in your paper is an illustration of this. Anyone who has studied the subject from an impartial point of view will at once see that the professor has failed to grasp the spiritual basis of Christian Science, and confuses it with mental suggestion and faith cure, with which it has nothing in common.

Christian Science is the religion of Christ Jesus. Its logic is simple enough to be accepted by a child, yet profound enough to engage the earnest attention of the greatest thinker. Christ Jesus said that it needed the childlike mind to comprehend the spirit of Christianity, yet through the ages it has engaged the attention of the sages. Christian Science is a restatement of primitive Christianity. It is not a theory of Mary Baker Eddy, but a discovery by this gifted New England woman of the spiritual Science which ushered in the Christian era, and is again, after nearly two thousand years, transforming the religious opinion of Christendom.
