In gratitude to our Father-Mother...

In gratitude to our Father-Mother God and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I wish to give this testimony of the healings and blessings which have come to our home.

When Christian Science was presented to us we knew nothing about it. I was like the woman, in the Bible who "had suffered many things of many physicians.... and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse." One evening my husband came home and found me dying. He immediately called a consecrated Christian Science practitioner, who helped me with much love and tenderness. In three days I was healed and ready for the complete acceptance of Truth, and I have never since doubted the allness of God. I was healed of serious stomach trouble, nervous prostration, chronic catarrh, and many other ills to which flesh is heir.

Some of these ills were healed slowly, some quickly; others fell away without my knowing it. I am more thankful than I can tell for the healing of erroneous traits of character and for learning to think and love rightly. Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 43), "The divine must overcome the human at every point." Through each healing experience some belief has yielded to a clearer understanding of my heritage as the son of God.
