I became dissatisfied with the...
I became dissatisfied with the orthodox church in which I was brought up, and was almost at the point of agnosticism on account of the seemingly contradictory teaching therein; but I always loved the Bible.
My husband passed on when we were both young, and I found myself bereft of material support, with no income, four small children, and little money to carry on with. These words came to me: "Fear not"; and, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee;" and they sustained me through the succeeding years until I found Christian Science. From that time I was lifted out of the pit, and have ever since prospered along the way with joy and gratitude.
It took me some years to come into the fuller understanding of Christian Science, and this has been acquired through the study of our textbook and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, who by revelation, has given to the world the spiritual meaning of the Bible.
