Committee on Publication for South Carolina Reports

We are thankful for the constant courteous and co-operative attitude of the newspapers in the state. During the year no unfriendly or adverse criticism of Mrs. Eddy or of Christian Science was reported as appearing in any paper. It is very gratifying that, although a number of papers have curtailed their free space, the editors have been very generous in printing our Lesson-Sermon excerpts and church notices, including the announcement of the Thanksgiving services.

Reports of the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church were printed by a number of papers in the state. The newspapers have been liberal in reporting and publishing our lectures, either in part or in full, and numerous reprints from the Monitor have been sent in by Assistant Committees. An article entitled "From India's Coral Strand." by Ernest A. Payne, Oxford, England, was published in full in The Baptist Courier with proper credit to The Christian Science Monitor.

The Monitor is growing in popularity and is highly valued by editors of our leading newspapers, as evidenced by their comments when offered an opportunity to subscribe to the Monitor on the exchange-for-advertising plan. Many of the daily and weekly papers in our state are now receiving the Monitor and have expressed their appreciation of its outstanding worth and excellence.
