Christian Science was first presented...
Christian Science was first presented to me on Christmas Eve, 1907, and has proved a most precious gift. I took up the study of it for physical healing, because I was suffering from a discordant condition of the throat, which was gradually causing me to lose my voice. This condition was not overcome until Christmas, 1908, when I applied to a practitioner for help for an acute attack of muscular rheumatism. About the time the practitioner received my letter and gave me a treatment. I was instantaneously healed of both difficulties, and the healings have been permanent. I have also been freed from acute sick headaches, from which I had suffered since childhood.
I have had many proofs of the protecting power of Christian Science, and also of the way it meets our need financially and otherwise. I am deeply grateful for class instruction, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. It has been a great privilege to serve in the Reading Room as librarian and afterwards as a helper. I am deeply grateful to have had some years' experience as a teacher in the Sunday school.
For all the blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life, for the literature and lectures, and the kind friends who have helped me during the years, I am sincerely thankful.—(Mrs.) Henrietta Charlton, Allenton, Derbyshire, England.
