Part of the definition of "Mind"...

Part of the definition of "Mind" which Mrs. Eddy gives on page 591 of Science and Health is, "Deity, which outlines but is not outlined." When we allow Mind to outline, the reward is greater than we could have imagined.

The Army removed me three thousands miles from home, to train me as a telephone specialist for thirteen weeks. The camp impressed me as being as desolate a place as it was possible to find, but the first evening after supper I climbed the hill behind our barracks, read the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, and watched the sunset. This came to be a helpful habit, for it cleared away the mental cobwebs.

I was promoted to squad leader in short order, but I replaced someone who had proved to be inefficient. He had some friends who made it known that I should receive no co-operation. I wrote a letter home asking for some assistance. Those at home called the one with whom I had had class instruction in Christian Science, and he immediately began to help me. The day after this call, all the unco-operative boys were transferred out of the battalion.
