I wish to express gratitude to God for Christian Science and for all the benefits I have received through studying Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

When I left the hospital of a soldiers' home thirteen years ago, my case was considered hopeless. It was then that Christian Science was recommended to me. I have been healed of a so-called incurable condition of the eyes, which had caused total blindness in one eye. I have also been cured of resentment, physical difficulties, and many other discordant conditions.

One of the greatest truths I found in studying Christian Science was the fact that we cannot serve God and mammon. It was then that I became an earnest student of Christian Science. Today I am free from the false sense of hatred, and have learned to love my neighbor as myself, as taught by Christ Jesus.

I am grateful for all the help that I have received through the work of loving practitioners, and for the privilege of being a member of The Mother Church; also to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for revealing the truth to us.—Melvin R. Swanson, Los Angeles, California.
