Your church page recently included an interesting article entitled, "A Design for Living That Means Success."

After developing his theme, based upon the charge to Moses cited in Hebrews 8:5, the writer observes that the church "has surrendered to our Christian Science friends the inheritance of healing."

At the founding of the Church of Christ, Scientist, on Mrs. Eddy's motion it was voted, "To organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing" (Church Manual, p. 17).

The Gospel records show that Christ Jesus regarded his healing work as evidence of the truth of his teachings; and he instructed his followers to heal the sick. History records that this Christly healing continued for about three hundred years and was lost.

Christian Scientists appreciate it whenever the subject of spiritual healing is brought to the sincere consideration of Christian people.

Out of her own fruitful experience of preaching and healing Mrs. Eddy has declared in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 345), "When the omnipotence of God is preached and His absoluteness is set forth, Christian sermons will heal the sick."
