An incidental reference to Christian Science...

Hour,

An incidental reference to Christian Science, which a recent contributor to the Norwalk Hour made in discussing another subject, while obviously not meant to unkind, was incorrect. Christian Science is not a human philosophy, nor is it based on any philosophy. Its Principle is God. It sharply differentiates between that seeming combination of material mentality and corporeal body, which mortals miscall man, and spiritual man, whom God made in His own image and likeness. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 477), "To the five corporeal senses, man appears to be matter and mind united: but Christian Science reveals man as the idea of God, and declares the corporeal senses to be mortal and erring illusions."
