Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Twenty-two papers in this state are carrying the weekly Lesson-Sermon excerpts from the Christian Science Quarterly, most of them regularly. Our lecture reports have been gratifying, several having been printed in full. Our Thanksgiving Day services were given publicity by a number of newspapers through advance notices or reports; and twenty papers gave us generous space for an article on our Christian Science War Relief activities.

It would be difficult to estimate the good resulting from our plan of sending local editors a year's subscription to The Christian Science Monitor in exchange for an equivalent amount of advertising space in their columns. Between eighty and ninety Georgia editors continue to get the Monitor in this way, and its editorials and articles are being reprinted and quoted from perhaps more than ever before. Following are extracts from letters received during the year from Georgia editors:

"I certainly welcome the opportunity to enter into an exchange-for-advertising basis again. Needless for me to say how much the Monitor is enjoyed and appreciated. It is the world's best newspaper."
