I shall always be grateful for the...
I shall always be grateful for the loving friend who asked me to go to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting at a Christian Science church. I realized then that I had found the truth for which I had been searching all my life.
Before I knew of Christian Science I was very often ill, and was in bed two or three times during the winter. I also suffered from frequent colds. But since taking up the study of this Science some twenty years ago, I have not spent one day in bed on account of illness. I have had many lovely healings.
One day I was standing on a high chair and slipped off it, receiving a nasty fall which injured my wrist. My husband wished me to see a doctor, and to please him I did so. My wrist was X-rayed. I learned four days later that the photographs revealed a compound fracture, but the doctor said that a most extraordinary thing had occurred: the bones had moved into their correct places and were setting themselves. He added, however, that I would have to carry my arm in a sling for nine months, and that it would always be stiff. I mentally denied this statement, and with the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was completely healed and able to do my own laundry in less than two weeks.
