Signs of the Times

Topic: Prayer and Faith

[Dr. Albert P. Shirkey, as quoted in the St. Louis (Missouri) Globe–Democrat]

David says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." God provides for His followers both the opportunity and the place for rest–in a world which tires both mentally and spiritually. In the times when our weariness seems greater than our power to endure, He is with us. Christ [Jesus] said, "My peace I give unto you," and, "Come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy–laden." What greater blessing is there for us! . . .

"I will in dwell in the house of the Lord for ever." Ultimate fulfillment for the Christian life is found in these words, and we are left in no doubt of God's plan for us.
