With the desire to express sincere gratitude and joy for the numberless blessings I have received because of Christian Science, and perhaps to encourage someone else along the way, I send this testimony of healing.

My first experience with Christian Science was in 1908. I had been suffering serious periodical physical pain, which finally became so severe as to produce convulsions. Hypodermics of morphine were always administered.

A physician diagnosed the condition as adhesions and ulcerations. He assured my father there was no relief from the suffering except through a major operation. He suggested a change of scene and climate before the operation, and I was sent to the western coast. While on this trip, during one of these attacks, I met a student of Christian Science. She spoke earnestly to me of its method of spiritual healing, and urged me to see a Christian Science practitioner. I made only one visit to this dear woman, and have never had a pain or suggestion of that difficulty since. This occurred over thirty-two years ago. After several years of such acute suffering the healing seemed miraculous to me. I became an earnest and faithful student of all Mrs. Eddy's writings from that time.
