I am grateful that my mother had the moral courage and foresight to take up the study of Christian Science many years ago, when it seemed that there was much resentment and hatred against the truth all around her.

I have known of Christian Science ever since I was a small girl, and it has healed me many times. When I was about twenty years old, error seemed to handle me, and I started to drink and smoke. A few years after that I had a terrific shock and disappointment. Immediately I found that Christian Science was the only thing in the world that could help me, and I studied more earnestly than I ever had in my life, and found peace.

Since that time many healings have taken place: unpleasant traits of character and disposition have been healed, and the smoking, drinking, tea, and coffee habits have gone. I joined The Mother Church, and a few years later a branch church.
