A little over twenty-five years ago the healing power of Christian Science was presented to me, and I gladly began the study of its literature.

At that time I was very anxious about one of my little sons. He was suffering from a drooping of the eyelids and double vision, which caused him much distress. The trouble had begun when he was two years old and had continued for seven years. Shortly after the trouble began, the family doctor advised us to see an eye specialist. No benefit was gained, however. Then a second specialist was called, and many visits were paid to him, but there was no improvement, and the specialist finally said: "The boy must be taken away frm school and not be allowed to read books at all. I can do nothing for him. At about sixteen years of age he may get over the trouble, but he may not."

At this point Christian Science was brought to me by my sister. I went to a practitioner, who helped me to overcome my fear. This was in August, and in September I sent the boy to school again. His eyes gradually became normal and his sight excellent. When he left school some years later he remarked to me, "Well, mother, I have never had to stay away from school one day on account of my eyes." We both realized that the healing was complete.
