I am happy to have the privilege of submitting my testimony that it may encourage others, for many blessings have come to me since I became interested in Christian Science.

My parents separated when I was a baby, and at the age of fifteen I was forced to earn my living and make my own decisions. I was quite unprepared to do this, and as a result much unhappiness, trouble, and sickness came to me. For four years I was unable to work. Due to physical suffering I had become highly nervous and seemed doomed to be an invalid. At this time I was guided to a practitioner, through whose patient work, together with my own study of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was healed of sinus trouble, from which I had suffered for several years; also of severe attacks of gastritis, which had affected my heart. These attacks were caused by an intestinal and gall bladder trouble, for which I had been operated upon by a renowned surgeon, but to no avail, since it had grown steadily worse. Night and day an excruciating pain was present. My healings were permanent, for there has been no return of any of the ailments. For over five years I have not had a sick day. I have greater endurance, am very active, and have a most happy state of mind.

With Christian Science help I was guided to take up the study of piano, voice, and diction, and I also took a trip to Europe. I had always dreamed of such a trip, but had thought it quite out of the question for me. The voyage was most harmonious, and I experienced no discomfort whatsoever, although nearly everyone with whom I came in contact was ill during the trip.
