A Christian Science period in the "Columbia West Coast Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station KNX, Hollywood, California, on Sunday morning, June 22, 1941, at eight o'clock (Pacific Standard Time), by Mr. Leonard Tillotson Carney of Beverly Hills, California. This program was given under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for Southern California, with the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Miss Clemence Gifford, soloist, was assisted by Mr. Charles W. Adams at the organ.

The program opened with Hymn No. 162 from the Christian Science Hymnal. The words of this hymn were written by Mary Baker Eddy.
