"Be active"
Activity signifies life and is normally desired in some form by everyone. This is natural, since life is manifest in action, and without action there is no life.
In the so-called natural sciences, action is considered to be physical, and so to depend upon many material factors. The body, for instance, is supposed to be well according to whether certain physical combinations are favorable — climate, inherited tendencies, exercise, food, diet. Business and crops supposedly thrive according to the seasons, times, locality, and freedom of economics. Opportunity is said to depend on many unknowable factors.
Christian Science, the Science of being, unfolds to human consciousness the fact of activity as spiritually mental. It points out that all experience is wholly subjective and normally harmonious when seen to be governed by Truth, God; that it is discordant when seemingly controlled by erroneous suppositions about life. This knowledge places responsibility, for better or for worse, upon the individual consciousness. That is, it shows one that in proportion as he knows and lives the truth, the fact of God and man as one in being, he experiences the blessings of reality, for he discovers that what before seemed exterior to consciousness is actually subject to Christianly scientific demonstration.
