Twenty-eight years ago, I was healed of stomach, kidney, bowel, and lung trouble, the last-mentioned believed to have been inherited, for my mother had passed on with it. I was also healed of melancholia, a felon on one of my fingers, hemorrhoids of long standing, sick headaches, and the use of glasses, which I had worn for nearly twenty years. The sense of limitation was also overcome. These healings were the result of my study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I have had cause for rejoicing many times during the intervening years, and should now like to tell of a more recent healing. I had suffered for a year and a half from arthritis; and having been a trained nurse before coming into Christian Science, I knew that doctors had no cure to offer. I can gratefully say that Christian Science healed me, and I have not one deformed joint; also, that I did not spend one day in bed — in fact, I have not spent a day in bed for over twenty-seven years.

I am grateful for the physical healings, but am more grateful for the spiritual help, and an understanding of divine Principle, the knowledge of which is life eternal. The last healing, being slow, has taught me to be more kind; and I know that to cling closely to God and not give way to discouragement is the way to overcome error. I am deeply indebted to our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for her untiring efforts. Through her faithfulness, I am able to be of service to others.
