"Ambassadors for Christ"

A Dictionary defines "ambassador" in part as one who is accredited, "as the official representative of his own government or sovereign." St. Paul, in his letter to the Corinthians, said, "We are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God." To be an ambassador for Christ, then, means that we are representatives of Christ, Truth. What a beautiful and uplifting thought this is! As we go about our daily work, constantly coming in contact with our fellow men, let us watch our thoughts so that we may be worthy ambassadors for Truth.

Our actions result from our thinking, and in order that they may be in conformity with Christ, Truth, we must understand God, the origin of all true thought. There is only one Mind, the perfect and divine Mind, or God, from whom come all good and right thoughts and ideas. We must diligently claim our unity with God, divine Mind, in order that our thoughts may be pure and holy.

Jesus constantly claimed his unity with God, divine Mind. He manifested Christ, and proved that man is spiritual, not material. He understood and demonstrated the sovereignty of divine Mind, thus proving unreal the claims of material sense. Christ Jesus is our Way-shower, and as we follow him we tread securely in the pathway of eternal life, learning how to bring "into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."
