Sunday School Notes and Comments

In one Christian Science Sunday School class, the pupils showed much interest in studying the life of Moses as an introduction to the study of the Ten Commandments. Each one was assigned a topic concerning Moses, and told when she would be expected to give to the class orally what she had learned.

Then the class studied the Ten Commandments, and the following points were emphasized. Moses was called by God to receive the law (Exodus 19:5, 6). The Ten Commandments were engraved on two "tables of stone, written with the finger of God" (Exodus 31:18). The tables present man's duty to God, and man's duty to his neighbor. The Commandments were studied consecutively, and much time was given to the First Commandment.

In connection with this study Mrs. Eddy's definition of "Moses" (Science and Health, p. 592) and her definitions of "God" and "gods" (ibid., p. 587) were read.
