Four years ago I was told by a leading surgeon that I should never be able to leave my bed unless I submitted to an operation for tumor.

A sister living in North Dakota, who is a Christian Scientist, came to see me. She advised me to take up Christian Science. One evening when in great misery I requested that she come into my room. She asked me if I would like to have her read to me from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I replied that I would. While she was reading the pain ceased, and I went to sleep. The next day we asked a practitioner to come, and work in Christian Science was taken up.

On the fourth day, during the practitioner's visit, it was uncovered to me, and I spoke about it, that I had held a grudge for a long time. Each day thereafter I could notice an improvement. The growth began to decrease in size and the dropsical condition began to leave my feet and limbs, and in about four months I was entirely healed.
