Among the Churches

GREENCASTLE, INDIANA (Society). —Two dedication services were held on Sunday, June 22, 1941, in the morning and afternoon, at the church home of Christian Science Society, Greencastle. A large and enthusiastic audience of members and friends from neighboring towns attended both services.

It is a positive rule with the Christian Science organization that all indebtedness must be liquidated before a church can be dedicated. The society here owns its church home in fee simple.

Christian Science services were first held in Greencastle in May, 1912, with a few students meeting each Sunday at a home on East Washington Street. Increasing attendance caused various changes to larger quarters until a large room on the second floor of the Williamson Block was rented and Christian Science Society, Greencastle, organized.—Banner.
